Excellent home made pasta! One of the best pasta I have ever had! Too bad you can only order 2 different first dish meals per table, that way we could not try all the dishes we wanted. Prices are comparable to other restaurants but too expensive to eat out regularly. Too bad. Otherwise the home made pasta is to die for.

Great food! Typical dishes of the roman tradition, great portions and superb quality for a homest prize. Not the best location maybe but if you get the host to explain you the dishes in her folklore way you will definitely love it.

The madness that has overtaken my home place, Rome, in terms of politics, has now spread everywhere like a bad virus, including, unfortunately, places where eating was once considered an experience. Trust me it still is, but not for what to expect. Settimio being one of those. Never ever, I have heard in my own life as a roman living in Rome, that you are only allowed one glass where drink both water and wine. Even the worst, most turistic places have now converted to the civil request of not mixing two very different fluid in one glass.
Well, the very unsimpathetic and very arrogant owner of Settimio seems oblivious to the request, with such a lame excuse that at the very beginning seemed a joke. Unfortunately it wasn't, and without any more words, rather than "It is an authentic roman hostaria", she has basically spoiled all the food we ordered with my friend. I am seriously appalled by her behaviour, although the food was good, the atmosphere she set up was really unpleasant, and considering that has now became quite a luxurious treat to have dinner out, for the extortionate prices that have hit euroena capitals all around, this behaviour it is not excusable.
