I’m a guy with limited needs. I want a pedicure to keep my overworked feet callous free and my toenails cut well. Maniboo is a upscale shop for beauty, their work on my feet was above the usual. And there is WiFi. Beware, though tipping is not an Italian habit, here it felt required.

I went here before my wedding in Italy for a manicure and pedicure shellac and they did a fabulous job! Highly recommended!

I usually only write a review in one of two cases - a good to great experience, or an absolutely awful experience- so aweigh that it compels me to actually review a place.
My experience at Maniboo has unfortunately been the latter of the two. Before I actually begin my review, I will say that I did turn up at 11:30am without an appointment, and the lady at the reception found me a 12pm spot, which was nice. This is where the nice ends.
It seems to me that I was assigned a trainee, which at the time I was ok with due to the fact that I was lucky enough to get an appointment.
She was half distracted throughout the manicure, looking around at what the other therapists were doing, and wasn't even handling her equipment correctly. I have been getting my manicure done for at least the past 10 years and never in my life have I had a worse experience than this. By the time she was done (according to her), my nail beds were jagged, I actually had to ask her to buff them out before applying the base coat. The cuticles and skin around the nails had not been removed and when I asked her, I couldn't understand her response since I don't speak Italian, so I called the lady at the reception over to ask her if actually cleaning the nails was included in the service, and the therapist immediately started speaking in Italian and apparently her response was that she removed as much as she could and that if she removes any more, I would start bleeding. Umm, no- she removed absolutely nothing, and I could see her colleagues doig exactly what I had asked for other clients- I understand that she may be a trainee, however, a client is entitled to proper service.
This has been the absolute worst manicure I've ever had. Even the nail polish application is terrible. I'm going to try to attached photos for reference. I'm just shocked!!
I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but this was absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!

What a ripoff!!! €60 for gel nail polish which wasn't even done perfectly!! This is double the London price!!! Unbelievable... Really disappointed.

I have arrived 20mins late for our appointment, with a friend - and we have called to let know ahead of time. Upon arrival, nobody had greeted us nor explained correctly what we were to do as the staff seemed to argue if to provide the service or not.
We were standing there in the middle of the salon like two idiots.
In the end, they denied us service. They were incredibly rude and got into a fight between them in front of our third friend who was there on time.
We completely understood that a 20 min late arrival on a Saturday afternoon may not have not been accommodating, but I really hold that a nail saloon should approach their explaining on an at least human level.
This was a terrible experience.
What a shame, because the place seems quite lovely, interior wise.
