On my first appointment, I left my medical notes with Lily Arriaga, who works on the desk. She said she would copy and put them in the mail. When I called to see where they were, she informed me someone had taken them home, This is illegal.

I went for my second appointment today, Monday at 1 pm.. When I got there, Lily told me she had called me on Friday and left a message to say she had not received an authorization so I could not see the doctor. When I checked, she had called the wrong number. I asked her why she hadn't tried to get hold of me that morning to save me a very long trip. She said she was busy. When I complained, she walked out of the office, leaving the desk and phones unattended. When she got over her tantrum, she returned.

I asked for my results from Quest (2 separate tests 3 weeks before) and she said they hadn't arrived. So Quest's usually efficient system had mysteriously failed twice? I asked her to chase up, which she did. After I had waited an hour, another member of staff checked and informed me the authorization for my appointment was there. All Lily had to do was look. She did not apologize. I finally saw the doctor and left at 3.30 pm.

I had to call the doctor after my appointment. Lily answered the phone and left me holding on for 20 minutes. When I gave up and called back, the office was closed. I can only assume that she finds this kind of behavior entertaining.

It's unlikely that Dr Abrishami will correct this behavior. He books 19 patients in an afternoon and doesn't have time to read things like patients' notes. When I needed a pre-auth for an inhaler, he told me he didn't have time for things like that. He said the only way I could get an inhaler was to make a 'cash appointment' ($250) and he'd give me a sample. In other words, he was selling me his freebies! Another review on here labels him a crook. Here here.

This crook actually did me a favor. I started using an all natural inhaler which works better. I am drug free.

So thank you to Lily and Bob for being possibly the most uncaring medical practice in Los Angeles.
