The Sunday roast was nice, but I can't help but feel that getting one in a pub would have been better value for money. Drinks selection is quite limited.

Although we enjoyed the venison Scotch egg, we were underwhelmed and disappointed by our fillet steaks. Both had the texture of something that was thawed from a freezer and lacked taste (hence why they offer you sauces on the side for an extra charge). The server was otherwise pleasant.

We were really disappointed by this restaurant. Called to reserve a place in advance and was told there were no spaces after 5.30pm- we really wanted to eat here as it had a gluten free menu so took the 5.30pm table. We arrived and were disappointed with the restaurant, it looked run down, the staff were playing Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears whilst we were eating and were very unprofessional. We were the only ones in the restaurant until 7pm despite being 'busy'. I ordered from the GF menu but was served normal bread with my starter which made me sick. My partners food was a bland Sunday dinner. Do not go here there are far nicer places to eat in York!
