The original shopping arcade design had a hotel and multistorey carpark along with public toilets and the so-called Shawlands Square area where old folks could sit on benches chatting. The renovation ruined this completely. The jobcentre, hotel, supermarkets and Woolworths are gone, the public space and toilets gone, the shops are boarded up, or charities have set up temporary camp. The only draw now is the Wetherspoon pub, B&M and a 24 he gym. Pretty sad state of affairs. The half demolished car park is frankly scary. Could do with redevelopment.

Local gym and i really love it! Great staff and atmosphere, it is a shame Three Network don't get any service inside but no matter as there is O2 wifi

Go here for Farmfoods as it is a larger branch with a larger range. Also free parking for 1 hour. Just remember to display the ticket dispensed from the machine.
As it is on Kilmarnock Road you can access the other shops such a B & M, Iceland and a new Pound land that has just opened.
