Awesome service. Clean. Neat and very central. Clean swimming pool. Good gym. And good dining too. Great breakfast. Highly recommend this resort.

I had the pleasure of staying at Barraquda in July and August for almost a week.
Normally I stay at The Mercure, but there was a special deal on the Accor website and I thought "why not" - change is good?
Check in was easy, my stay was relaxing. I need to single out Pepe at Reception for being very helpful and friendly, but I really need to single out Duty Manager, KF. She always made time for me, said hello and took an interest in my day. She is totally professional and a fantastic asset to the team, please pass on my thanks to her.
I'm not sure if I was upgraded or not (I'm Platinum Accor Plus) but regardless, my room was comfortable. I will say here and now that the design might not to be everyone's taste. It certainly is a "different" kind of design in this place, and to me, the room felt a little bit "tired" or "ten years ago". It was nice enough, but seemed to be in need of a bit of a refresh (scratches on the floor, some of the fittings looking a bit faded and worn). The bed is certainly a unique design, and for me, I missed having a bedside table to put things on at night. A small problem I know, but something I noticed.
The pool area was lovely to relax around and the water temperature was lovely.
I only ate at the restaurant a couple of times, but the food I had was fine and tasty.
Would I stay here again? I probably would because the location is great and the staff are so incredibly helpful and lovely. The only thing that might put me off is the design of the rooms. I can see why people love them but the design and functionality of the room's layout weren't really suitable to my taste. However, the hotel has such a nice vibe and great staff as I said, I would probably come back here again if there was a special promotion.
Definitely worth considering if you're coming to town and looking for an upscale property that not too overwhelming in size.

Superb hotel at a superb location. Close to the beach and walking distance from the Walking Street say 10 mins. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They advised us where to get nice authentic Thai food and they offered us umbrella when it was drizzling. What I didn't like about the room is the bed. It's a little too soft.

Decent location set back from the main drag but still accessible to the cafes and shops. Seamless check in by staff who were warm and charming. Decor a cool blend of chic and funky. Facilities were more than adequate, the roof top bar was a standout and a great venue for the obligatory pre-dinner cocktail. Rooms weren't cramped which is vital if travelling with a family like we did. The shower area was large but the water pressure was unfortunately not up to mark during our stay. Would still return on our next visit though
