I booked a standard car form AVIS Moscow using Priceline. It was simple and easy like I always book cars in the US. The price was about 3 times higher compare to domestic Moscow rentals and some 50% higher compare to SoCal. When I arrived to puck my cat on time at 9am AVIS did not have cars available, AVIS told me that I was notified by phone. I checked my phone and it was a missed call 5 minutes ago from AVIS Moscow. AVIS employee did not even say sorry and acted like I was not getting the point - no cars and I was notified before the pickup time. Priceline says CANCEL ANY TIME. I assume Priceline gave me this option. At AVIS Moscow I understood Priceline gives the same option to AVIS. I ended up with no car after booking with AVIS, Fortunately I mapped a car rental company next door from a local Russian vendor and had a rental car within 1 hr at 1/2 price compare to AVIS.
