A for effort! Good food not great. Emphasize the importance of cooking the meat the way you want it or it will be over cooked.

We were just starving after a long day of touring Amsterdam and this happened to be on the way back to our hotel. We ordered very simple dishes, but the food was excellent. I just ordered a tuna sandwich, but this was the best tuna sandwich I've had on the most delicious, very fresh wheat/grain bread. Other than capers in the tuna, I don't know what else they did to make it so good, but it was. My wife enjoyed her meal too. The service was excellent - especially on our first visit when the server was extremely friendly and patient. To top it off, they have a resident cat, Panther, who came our table to say hello. All in all, a relaxed atmosphere, good service and really great food.

Superb three course meal, great wine and good friendly service. Even showed me how to leave the fish bones behind. Not cheap but very much worthwhile. Book ahead so that you won't be disappointed.

Dined here in August 2016. I enjoyed this restaurant. Food was fresh and well prepared. All four of our party liked their selections The environment is bright but welcoming and a little noisy. Minus one star because I was never quite sure is the waiter's somewhat surly demeanor was an act or not.
