sensational views of the 3 cities, and the saluting garden is interesting with live gun demonstrations and firing. €1 for the elevator (or included in ferry price from Birgu) makes it well worth a visit. Simply beautiful

Great views across bay. Lovely place to sit. Very peaceful even when it's busy. Some great historical places nearby too. Lift to harbour and some questionable restaurants.

Good place to visit with friends and family. Awesome experience. Set at the highest point, the city walls of the barrakka garden offers an amazing view to see the firing in the grand Harbour. One can also have the panoramic view of the 3 cities, shipyard and the harbour. Before it was used as a line of defense. Nowadays it is used to welcome ships into the harbour. The firing is done at noon and at 4pm to help the ship masters set there watch according to the time.

A must see if in Valetta! It is a well maintained garden space with plenty of seating and public restrooms. From the viewing platform you have a great view of the 3 cities and the harbour. Each day, they also do a historical cannon shooting, well worth a watch.

The gardens are beautiful and provide sweet relief from the hot sun. The views from the top are wonderful and you can see the whole of Grand Harbour in its entirety. Walking around the gardens is tranquil and the sound of the fountain and life bustling by is peaceful.
Getting to see the battery perform the noonday salute is a great experience and shouldn't be missed!
By night the city looks wonderful as you look down at all the lights in the harbour and across the island. (Look out for fireworks!)
