By far, the highest I have stood looking down upon a city, at 450m (1485 ft or 148 stories) and it was breathtaking. The price for an adult ticket to the 350m point was about $20. Almost another $20 to go to the 450m point. The elevators are enclosed in the center of the tower. You cannot see out and I think that's a good thing because they move at an unbelievable speed. Don't worry, you won't even feel it moving. there are options to eat and buy snacks or refreshments at the high points. Go on a clear day and/or night, to see all of Tokyo. I visited in the day and was amazed. I only wish I could've stayed to see Tokyo lit up at night. Next time!

It's a MUST if you have a few hours during the twilight hours around 4-6pm to see different shades of light to a complete darkness with vibrant street lights. I didn't have to queue up for too long only about 5 mins to get my tickets. maybe it was on the weekday. Great to bring your loved one to enjoy romantic moment up there given both are not afraid of height!

Say what you want about just looking at stuff, but this view of Tokyo is unmatchable. The elevator is fast as hell too. Infrastructure is nice, maybe a bit invasive for pictures, but it's a great place to go as long as you bypass the massive lines. For an extra 1k yen, I'd say it's well worth it.

What does Skytree have? An observation deck and restaurant on the tower, shopping arena at the bottom with an awesome deli section and tons of excellent restaurants. I would hang out at Skytree every day if I didn't live so far away. Great place to spend a day.

About 200¥ to get to the mid floor, great view, avoid during daytime but come at night! The view is amazing. We paid a extra 1000¥ ish to go even higher. Got a cocktail and a great view. Few little photo stands and a restaurant which seemed fully booked. Do recommend the Sunshine city building and getting to the 59F for a free view of Tokyo!!
