24 hour supermarket for when you need a late night / early morning snack run.
Good: Wide variety of ever changing items.
Lots of Japanese (JA) fruit, vegetables, and meats for good prices.
Loads of pre-made take away food.
Be aware: That like Winco foods in the US and other discount supermarkets to check the expiration dates.
Some things are actually less expensive at the Life supermarket next door.
Hilarious: The 1 yen bin...yes that's right stuff for 1 yen
Bad: Many employees don't speak Japanese...so bust out your Mandarin if you know it.

Although Tamade is known for really cheap prices, the Daikoku Tamade is famous for the very wide selection of very fresh fish. If you can cook and appreciate fresh fish, this is place to shop.
