If you visit Budapest, this is a must go-to place. If you go up the hill from the bridege on foot, you will have a wonderful experience. The parks and meadows of this place are marvellous. Perfect for a family program or any kind of program really.

Great place! One of the "must" in Budapest. Natural thermo-mineral bath located in historical building near Danube bank. There are few pools various sizes and temperatures with mineral water. Unforgettable interiors in "Roman" style with lot of statues, ceramics, color mosaics, marble... Various kinds of massages (book in advance), sauna, outside hot and cold pools... Recommended to have bathrobe, towel and sleepers. All these may be rented inside. Don't buy it in lobby shop - not worth the money.

I highly recommend a visit to Gellért Hill because it is a lovely place to go for a hike, with the added benefit that you get a bird's eye view of the entire city once you reach the top. We went after a rainy spell so the trails were a bit muddy, but in general it was an easy hike that took about an hour.

This is a family-friendly activity if your children are up for a climb. I would not recommend going after dark as the trails are not well-lit.

Once you reach the top you are at the Citadella where there are many small stands with souvenirs and a couple of eateries serving up fast food. The waterfall at the bottom affords you some good photo opportunities. There is a type of fortress at the top but unfortunately it was not open during our visit.

Went for a bath early in the morning and there were barely anyone there. The wave pool is not turned on for this reason, but it is more than compensated by the quiet and calm atmosphere. It is hard to navigate the place and I've probably spent 20 minutes figuring out the place on my own.

You can go for a small walk around this natural reserve on the way of visiting the Liberty Statue. It's probably best to take the walk down, as it's easier, but if you're in shape, the walk up isn't a biggie either, but there are a lot of stairs. There are cool things to see, like a waterfall you can stand over, an area with statues. There are nice views of the city along the way.
