Happy I tried it again. First time was a little scared but the staff told me it only gets better. Second time was the most relaxed I've even been. Serenity now.

Stopped by on a recent trip to B.C. to check out their centre. I've floated in places across Canada as I'm looking to open one in another province. Float House South Surrey might be the nicest centre I've come across. They have a great lounge with tea and a projector for nature videos, plus the whole place was spotless.

I talked with the owner for a long time and he really knows his stuff (clearly loves floating). Can answer any question you have... what positions could help, how to stay warm in the tank. Plus they offer 90 minute floats which are a way better value considering most places charge the same for less tank time. Definitely worth checking them out.

Wonderful staff hosting a fantastic space for inner exploration of self. Truly a "sanctuary" of modern times, the float is something every person should experience when feeling stressed or overworked.
The friendly service at the front desk makes this centre my go-to choice for some much needed deep meditation in zero gravity.

I love floating. It's my special time. I deal with chronic pain & when I'm in the tank I'm pain free. That feeling can lasts for hours or days. It's also helped make meditation a daily ritual. The staff are always friendly & helpful. The plan is very clean. Can't say enough positive things about this place.

Something everyone should know about and get a chance to try. Whenever I talk about floating to others no one has a clue what it is.

Very clean environment. Amazing staff. There are so many ways floating can benefit. Some of my favorite things to think about in the tank are Programming problems / life / work ideas to name a few. No other methods I do for generating ideas comes close to going in the tank.

Useful notes:

Hands above head was most comfortable for me as hands down created rounding of the shoulders (similar to sitting at a computer) which in turn causes back pains / stresses in other parts of the body.

Have a notebook with some broad ideas you want to think about in the tank before you enter the facility! This notebook will get some salt on it, so don't bring anything fancy. Place a few pieces of paper on the stool with a hand towel outside of the tank door (but not in the way of opening/closing the door).

If possible do a steam room/sauna/ exercise before going in, it will help with the relaxation.

Take 30min after your session either in your car or lounge area with your notebook and write. The thoughts you have will dissipate with time and need to be captured asap.
