Ok place with 80s era beer selection. Come on folks, it's the 21st century. "Local beer" does not include Kokanee and Canadian.

We have been stopping in occasionally to eat since they opened. The last two visits were not satisfactory. The fries were burnt black, and the burger's meat was black on the outside. When I returned the fries, one of the staff rolled her eyes.The second batch were not much better. I noticed that the place used to be almost always full, and now there is hardly anyone, especially for a Saturday night. They are going to have to improve, or they will be out of business soon! We will definitely never return to the Burnt Onion!

It's just a burger place. It's not low end like a McDonalds or BK, but I don't think it's anything to write home about either. The salmon burger I had was good, but I don't think it's really possible for a burger to blow someone away. The fries were pretty good, but I think there are other places that give you the same quality at a lower price (although not in Kerrisdale, as far as I know).

No matter how many cheeses are in their quiche, it is awesome. An extremely casual place, they also have amazing burgers and fries. With every bill, you get a red onion to take home with you.
