I come here almost daily. In the summer the fountain is a play park for children which is really nice. You can watch the float planes take off and land from here, as we'll as some beautiful sunrises. There are spectacular mountain views, and its a part of the seawall bike path. There is also a great dog friendly pup callws the Tap and Barrel located here.

I enjoy bringing visitors of Vancouver here for great harbour views and watching the float planes land and take-off before going to a nearby bar or restaurant

You can enjoy the water park during those really hot sunny days. Ride your bike or walk along the seawall. Really close to the public dock, convention center and Harbour Air.

Nice park for picnic or play some frisbee. Great wide space for kids to run around. Also have a little splash park in the summer.
One thing is the bike lane is circle around the grassy part so if you have little kid who are a runner, you might need to keep an eyes on. Sometime the biker can ride pretty fast.
