My wife and I had dinner on September 7th - wish I could remember the waiter's name because he was outstanding. He was very attentative and knowledable of the menu and how the food was prepared his service was nothing less than excellent. As for the food - same impression - it was excellent. Presentation and taste was amazing. Definitely will return next time we are in Quebec - highly recommend dining at le Matteo.

Too hard. Just to get a coffee (take away) sorry my pram seemed to inconvenience you.
No wonder everyone was sitting outside, all tables inside empty. Not surprised. Just too hard.

Had the Linguine ai frutti di mare, and I was going to give it 3 stars for the taste, since every aspect of it was very average, but I took off one star for the price. I had the tomato sauce and the flavor was very bland, but the pasta was cooked decently. The presentation wasn't bad either, it's just there are other Italian places you can go to at that price point and get a better meal.

A lovely off-the-tourist-track spot. We had lunch after visiting the nearby Museum of Civilization; a starter and main for $16 at lunch is hard to beat! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and it was nice and quiet. It's a bit tricky to find due to some current construction—if my companion hasn't been before we would've walked right past.
