The Hatch is one of my favourites. The atmosphere is great, very down to earth, laid back kind of winery.
My love for the Hatch started with my love for the Hobo series two years ago. They have continued to make a high quality product at amazing prices!
Also, the lawn games are a great addition for the folks that want to enjoy the views!

I have been to a lot of wineries in the Okanagan...year on year I return to find new & great wines... & I will always recall the awesome experience I had at the hatch. From the moment you walk in you are part of something extraordinary. The atmosphere draws you in to get a closer look & taste! Many different varietals, many different wines to sample. Friendly & entertaining, I will always return when I'm in the area! ** Be sure to try the AMAZING Screaming Frenzy Chardonnay!

This was my first ever winery tasting! Grayson was fantastic, so excited and enthusiastic about his craft! I had tons of questions, and he had all the answers. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious. I can't wait to go back! I have since ordered some and had it shipped here. It is impossible to say how much I love this place! Love, love, love the Dynasty Red.

We hadn't planned on falling in love with The Hatch. We had mapped out a very brief wine tour through Kelowna and they weren't actually on the list. While we were driving I saw their sign and I knew I had to stop. (I love the painting The Son of Man...and their sign, just drew me in!!) I'm SO glad it did. The winery itself is a beautiful space; the large outdoor tasting table, the antique children's toys near the door (cause that bought me an extra 15 minutes to enjoy the wine!) and the tasting area inside all have a "Welcome Home" feel that you just have to experience. The staff are the final touch, friendly and willing to listen, they didn't force me to try a set menu of wines, they asked me what I liked! They made suggestions and were receptive to my feedback as I tasted each wine to help me choose which one to try next. I found 3 that I could not leave without. After returning home to Manitoba and facing the reality that I couldn't just pop down to the Liquor store and grab another bottle, I discovered The Wine Club! Now we have cases shipped to us twice a year and every time we open a new bottle we seem to discover a new favourite. We've had to supplement our semi-annual shipments now, because when we open a bottle with friends over, they suddenly want some too! We have started to consider drinking alone...but not very seriously.
You should go. You should stop by the funky-nest-headed sign and just see. Take the chance...

I'd give them 20 stars but this fascist website only allows 5. The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. They are crazy, they are irreverent, and they are just a little bit brilliant. Staff is amazing, wines are transcendent, and they have squirrels. Many squirrels. But ONLY GO IF YOU WANT GREAT WINE AND TO HAVE FUN. If you have a stick shoved into your nether regions, go up to Mission Hill or something. That is all.
