We did the cooking class here. CAN'T RECOMMEND BETTER!
Please note the difference between this place and other hotels or restaurants that offer cooking classes: you will the supporting the LOCAL COMMUNITY instead of new foreign business in Battambang. You will have the cooking class in an awesome space in Vannak's family property and you will buy the ingredients in the LOCAL market.
We reunited in the morning and went to the local market to choose the ingredients. After Vannak drove us to the place and we had so much fun cooking a 3 course meal (he will give you the chance to choose) together!
Vannak teached us everything from how to choose your vegetables and meat (also how it grows and how you should treat it), to chop techniques and the right Khmer cooking process. He is such a GREAT person with GREAT ideals and we feel honored we had the chance to do this with him!

AMAZING Cooking Class! Had such a fabulous day out, fresh ingredients, excellent setting, could choose whatever we wanted to cook & an knowledgeable, interesting teacher. :) free recipe book too. Better than any other classes we saw.

I was considering doing a cooking class with the owner of the restaurant. However, I didn't find the food I had there that good. Had a soup (Cambodian style - you couldn't really understand from the menu what it contained). In the end it was a very simple broth with minced meat and for that overpriced.
Would recommend to eat at the market or look around for other restaurants.

Chill out atmosphere. Food is ok. It has a lot of potential. Great promotion for shakes ($0.50 at the time)

I can't praise Vannak Robie highly enough. We had a fun half day shopping for ingredients at the local market followed by preparing 3 different authentic Khmer dishes. We were provided with a recipe book we can use to remind ourselves of this delightful cuisine when we return home.
