Day 1/2
Yerevan- City tour- Matendaran- History Museum
Meet and greet. Hotel accommodation. Breakfast at the hotel.
Note: 1st and 2nd day activities will be adjusted according to the itinerary of the group.

City Tour around Yerevan- the capital of the Republic of Armenia. Having a history of almost 2800 years, Yerevan is a modern city with high rise buildings, nice cafes and parks. It’s a combination of reach history and a modern lifestyle. Yerevan City was originally designated so that it overlooked the biblical Mount Ararat, and indeed the Holy Mount can be seen from every corner of the capital.
You will see all major sights of the capital including Opera house, Republic Square, Kievyan Bridge, Baghramyan Avenue, the Presidential Palace, Academy of Sciences, National Parliament as well as \\\\\\\"Cat statue\\\\\\\" by famous sculptor Fernando Botero at the Cascade area; enjoy the panoramic view of Yerevan etc.
Visit Matenadaran (http://www. matenadaran. am)- is an ancient manuscript repository located in Yerevan, Armenia. It holds one of the world\\\\\\\'s richest depositories of medieval manuscripts and books.
Lunch
Visit the History Museum where artifacts and items from prehistoric time to our days tell us the reach history of the land and its people.
Free time when you can enjoy Yerevan lifestyle with evening and night life activities.
Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 3
Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots – Vernisage-Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for Etchmiadzin town - the residence of the Supreme Catholicos of all Armenians and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Etchmiadzin means the “The Descent of the Only Begotten Son and is one of the ancient capitals of Armenia.
On the way we visit Saint Hripsime Church - one of the oldest surviving churches in Armenia. The church was erected in the year 395 AD that contained the remains of the martyred Saint Hripsime to whom the church was dedicated. The structure was completed in the year 618 AD. It is known for its fine Armenian architecture of the classical period, which has influenced many other Armenian churches since. This church together with other nearby sites is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Etchmiadzin Cathedral- the oldest state-built church in the world. According to the legend, Jesus Christ descended from heaven and indicated the spot for a church to be built. The construction of the church began in 301, the year when Armenia became the first state in the world to adopt Christianity as a state religion.
Proceed to the Zvartnots temple. The architectural masterpiece of Zvartnots was built between the years 641 and 662. It was damaged by the earthquake in 10th century and unearthed nearly thousand years later in 1900-1907.
Lunch.
Vernisage open-air handicraft market where you can buy souvenirs in remembrance of your trip to Armenia.

Free time in the evening to walk around Yerevan and having a dinner in various restaurant and cute cafés in the city center with warm atmosphere and nice music.
Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 4
Yerevan – Sevan – Noraduz – Dilijan – Haghartsin
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Lake Sevan.
Visit Noraduz - the valley of khachkar (cross-stone) and the ancient cemetery is the most original manifestation of Armenian medieval culture.
This is a unique place, where one can reveal the development of cross-stones art in its historical process.
Lake Sevan is the largest alpine high mountain freshwater lake in the Caucasus region and in Armenia Highland. It is impossible to imagine the island of Sevan (currently a peninsula) without the Sevan Monastery, a perfect example of a man-made testimony of faith complementing the surrounding divine nature. According to the historical records, the Monastery was built in 874. You can enjoy unrepeatable scenery to Armenian pearl- Sevan and take memorable pictures.
Lunch.
Continue to the resort town of Dilijan with beautiful scenery of mountains covered with thick forests.
Haghartsin - the monastic complex among the picturesque fortress, near the town of Dilijan includes three churches, two gavits (one in ruins), a refectory, a group of chapels and several khatchkars. The principal church Sourb Astvatsatin was built in 1281 as a cupola structure with a tall drum. This combination of natural and architectural beauty is very impressive.
Return to Dilijan - dinner and overnight.

Day 5
Dilijan –Hakhpat – Sanahin – Bagratashen / Tbilisi

Breakfast.
Drive to Alaverdy town and proceed to the Monastic complexes (10th c) of Haghpat and Sanahin - included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. These magnificent samples of Armenian architecture represent a unique blending between domestic Caucasian architecture and the evolved Byzantine style is located on the picturesque canyon of Debet River.
The monastery is an outstanding and magnificent example of medieval Armenian architecture that has been attracting increasing numbers of tourists. Lunch in Alaverdy.
Drive to the Armenian/Georgia border. Custom formalities and transfer to Tbilisi.

Day 6 TBILISI_ City tour with Museums


After breakfast we have Tbilisi Sightseeing tour. During the tour we take you to the places that will show you old city. You can take a glance to the history of the city from early centuries to nowadays by walking in narrow streets of the city and exploring the religious and secular architecture. Here you find different religious buildings – churches, synagogues, mosques, as well as famous 19th century houses with wooden multi – colour balconies. You visit the sulphur bath which made an unforgettable impression on Pushkin, Lermontov, Dumas. During the tour you enjoy the superb panoramic views of the Old city. This marks the end of the Old Town.
Afterwards we visit the stunning treasury of the Georgian National History Museum and then if time permits we’ll visit National Gallery before taking a stroll along Rustaveli Avenue – the main street in Tbilisi. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.
Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 7
Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Kazbegi – Tbilisi

Brekafast. Today we visit the ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia – Mtskheta (3000 years old) and see its historical places: Jvari Church (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) where the Robe of Christ is buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Afterwards drive up the famous Georgian Military Highway (leading to the Georgian – Russian border) to visit Ananuri architectural complex (17th century), the two churches and the fortress overlook the Zhinvali water reservoir. A stunning road along Tergi River will take us to Kazbegi an administrative region of Khevi. Then we’ll start walking us to the Trinity Church. in case of good weather conditions we will be able to glimpse proudly erected Mount Kazbegi (5048 m). in the evening re enter to Tbilisi. Lunch at local family and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 8
Tbilisi– Gori – Tbilisi

Breakfast. in the morning we visit the town of Gori – the heart of Kartli region and its historical places: Uplistsikhe Cave Town (1st millennium BC) and Stalin’s Museum. Uplistsikhe is the place where the Great Silk Road used to pass. This is an old and interesting complex with dwelling quarters, wine – cellars, bakeries, a three –nave basilica church hewn out in rock and even an antic theatre. Here we take 1 – 1. 5hrs walk around the cave town. After excursion transfer to Tbilisi. Lunch at a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 9
Tbilisi – Sighnaghi – Velistsikhe – Tsinandali – Tbilisi


Today we Travel to Kakheti Region in a wine land. The fist sightseeing would be fortified town of Sighnaghi and we’ll walk around its narrow streets surrounded by traditional houses with wooden carved balconies. Then we travel to a local farmer’s wine – cellar to learn more about Georgian way of wine – making. Dinner at local family. Later we visit Tsinandli garden and museum – 19th century Duke’s Alexander Chavchavadze’s estate. in the evening return back to Tbilisi. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10
Check out from the hotel, transfer to the airport and departure.
