They are literally thieves. I'm forced to use Avis by the company I work for. I have to check my bill every week because they routinely charge me to much. Having to go the counter to have it fixed is beyond annoying. Their "computer system" can't get my profile preferences straight either. Have to make sure they're correct before I leave the lot at checkout.

CARS ARE NEVER CLEAN. WINDSHIELDS ARE ACTUALLY DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU CANT SEE OUT OF THEM WHEN DRIVING INTO THE SUN. IT'S REALLY THAT BAD.

The "rental car center" causes taxes to routinely be 50% of the rental fee. So a $200 bill turns into $300. Or most of time since their "computer system" is programmed to rip you off it turns a $300 bill into $1,200. This is the absolute worse Avis location I've been to in the world. And that's saying something if you've ever been to one at a podunk airport.

The 2 staff that assisted me was friendly and helpful. I only had a debit card and I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get the rental I reserved and I’m from out of town. However, I didn’t encounter that problem. I’m glad there was a way to use the debit card this time!

The 2nd person that helped me was fun, she saw there were other cars available around the price I reserved mine for. She offered other cars and turned the rental transaction into an experience. For example, the car isn’t always just a tool to drive from point a to point b but that a car can be a joy ride on the journey to destination. Gotta have fun on the job otherwise it’ll become a task oriented instead of relationship oriented.

Even with instructions to stop at counter, out quickly, employees were very friendly and efficient. Car was clean, no problems with billing and return was quick and easy. Found the plastic VW emergency/valet key for the car on the carpet and handed it to the employee who greeted me in the return line, but he seemed to have no idea what it was for or what to do with it, but thanked me for turning it in. Great job Phoenix Sky Harbor Avis.

Booked a compact car rental online that stated 5 passengers. Went to pickup and the agent said all compact rentals only sat 4 passengers and only had 4 seat belts. Forced me into an upgrade for $75 more. I didn't want to argue, so I bent over and took it. I don't like the bait and switch tactics -- I will not be renting from AVIS on my next rental.

Customer service agent wasn't super friendly. Was told I would have to gas up within 5 miles of the airport and bring a receipt. Was not true. I was never once asked to show my receipt. My car was pretty dirty and had some scrape marks. (I made sure I took pictures so they couldn't blame me) I rented from National last weekend and deff had a better experience! Sadly they were booked this time or I would have gone with them first. Wasn't a horrible experience but there are definitely things that could have been done better. most likely won't be back unless it's the only option.
