Very fun place to visit. Especially when they are doing their special science events for children. My daughters (3 and 6) LOVED learning about plants and amazingly how gladiators became gladiators and what they did.
And for us adults found it very entertaining with all the info and the nature trail walks outside with occasional play areas for children. Would love to go again. :)

I guess to me it was just a trail. Coming from North Carolina we have lots of trail places. I would recommended maybe more for kids. It did have good information but like I said coming from North carolina we have better places and our museums in Raleigh are free and better looking. But it wasn't a bad place to go. If you have the city pass is a great place for a family but if I could choose again I would of probably not pick this place for me instead I would pick the college hall of fame.

First time experiencing this amazing place as an adult. The awe as a child is still there. My visit was an After Dark event, adults 21 and over only. Live music. Alcoholic drinks. Live music. Small plates. Exceptional. Definitely do again.

The main issue I have is all the information is superficial. Seeing the artifacts brought questions to my mind but the museum did not address them. Instead I had to preform the research at home.

In addition most (if not all) artifacts are replicas. Even the pieces of wood are just replicas. There is a ton of potential if they take the next step in providing information.

I have kept a membership along with my family of this museum for the last five years. It is very educational, entertaining, mind-boggling, and very informative. The different sections of the museum are never boring though some of it does not change a lot. I encourage everyone to visit at least once a year. For us, we will always be there with every new exhibit.
