The fort is kept in tip top condition. The museum commemotating the Anglo Boer war is small and can be absorbed in an hour or two.
Take meat with you and have a barbecue in the delightful garden with great views of Pretoria and the surrounds

The views from the fortress are great in a safe environment. The small museum is informative.

Well maintained. Rich in anglo boer war history. Good picnic sites.

Friendly staff. Entrance fee cheap.
We had a picnic on green grass under shady trees for Valentine's day. It was quiet and we felt save. The exibition is interesting and well kept.
