Summary: POOR WIFI, STUPIDLY HOT ROOMS

Even during autumn the room was insanely hot, with no way to cool it down other than having the windows open all night. We chose the hotel for its free wifi but this was extremely poor, slow and kept disconnecting.

I spoke with the staff and they said they would help with both of the above issues. Perhaps they tried but it made no difference.

I give the hotel 2 stars because there are facilities (dishwasher, microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer) though the microwave was useless because it shut down for 15 minutes every 2 minutes, presumably overheating. They said they do not do room service.

It's the first time I've upgraded from a hostel to a hotel but hostels generally have working wifi and comfortable rooms - next time I'm staying at a hostel instead.

The staff should get classes in costumer service, because you dont stand behind the desk with your chin in your palm when helping costumers. And then the room was nothing like the one we ordered, and that was even though we had called befor arriving to check if everything was alright. The parking costs is ridiculously high. And when we ordered food we first waited 30min for it before we went down to ask about it. Another 45min later the food came but was stone cold. The room was okey enough, seemed clean, and housekeeping changed towels and and the bed. And what was a kitchen didn't have as much as a pot you could boil an egg in. Safe to say I'll not be staying at this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. First of all let's start with the good stuff- the location was very good because the hotel is only 3 minutes away from the metro that brings you to the city centre within a few minutes. Nevertheless the customer service in this hotel is absolutely miserable. It smelled horrible in the room which was because of the sink in the shower. I suppose it was the smell of the excrements of other guests. However, I informed the reception everyday but neither changed anything nor did any of the receptionists apologise for the unconvenience caused or did offer me to change the room. So I just tried to get into the room as late as possible in order to not be exposed to this horrible smell. Let's not talk about all the dust in the room and the bathroom door that you could barely shut without difficulty. When I was leaving the receptionist did not ask if everything was alright and didn't thank me for my stay or wish me a pleasant journey home. Instead I got an unfriendly look that was saying: "Glad that you're leaving!". Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel which is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. I paid 1,556 crowns per night and I bet I could have invested my money way better.

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel imaginable.
1. No air conditioning. How rooms wind up at or over 80 degrees when it's 60 outside is unknown.
2. No phone/no cell service and the internet bounces every 10 minutes.
3. No fire or smoke alarms. With rooms at the end of a very narrow corridor and no ventilation anyone in these rooms would die if a fire broke out.
4. Windows without screens. Might be awesome if you want to take a shortcut to get out of your room and go onto the street but that means anyone on the street can go into your room! Talk about being safe!
5. Speaking of safety there is no lock or chain on the door.
6. The staff is rude, when you tell them your room is hot they want you to know that there are other rooms that are even hotter. This is customer dis-service not customer service.
7. The shower doors don't fit on the tread, nothing like getting water all over the floor.
8. Housekeeping doesn't actually make the bed, they just lay the sheet on the bed. They probably can't deal with the heat either.
I'm sure that in the winter they might have a handful of adequate accommodations but not in the summer unless one really likes to feel stifled and hot.

A nice and almost new hotel very close up the metro stop of Toyen so well connected to the city centre. You can choose both standard hotel room and mini apartment with kitchen facilities. The breakfast is good and with a good food selection. We tried the restaurant and it was good as well.
Price are really reasonable for Oslo.
