Small private museum with an amazing.collection of samurai armors and other weapons. The entrance fee is steep but in return you get a very informative free English tour, wearing a samurai real helmet, and a free photo opportunity while dressing up with a full samurai armor or a kimono. The museum is in a side street so it can be hard to find if but using Google maps or other navigation app.

Great if you don't care about japanese history and just want to pose for pics in costumes.
But the info is very basic, heavily influenced by myths and legends with even some inaccuracies.
It's also rather small and pricey even though yo do get a tour in the price. Maybe the experience varies between the guides, the one after ours seemed more knowledgeable.

For history fans, go to Tokyo National Museum instead!

Interesting place. Staff is very sweet. Not as big as you would think for the price, unfortunately. We also didn't get to witness any sword fights during our tour which was disappointing. But our tour guide was informative as well as funny and very nice. Just know you will need to remove your shoes for most of the tour, as the floors are tatami mats. So it is wise to wear shoes that are easy to remove. You are also given the opportunity to try on a kimono and samurai clothing that the staff will help you with. Our guide used our phone for a photo and helped us pose nicely so that we would have a nice picture as a keepsake.

I feel bad to give it one star because some of the staff are so nice and sincere, but this was overpriced and tiny. I pushed myself to stay as long as five minutes. It's in a seedy area and I wasted time trying to find it. No Japanese people I talked to had heard of it. Apparently they do shows a few times a day which I missed, they said I could come back with the same ticket to watch it. The tour is also free but I didn't want to wait for it to start. So I feel bad about giving it a one star but even if the tour was good I don't think it could justify the admission fee. It should be $7 at most. They also let you try on costumes and take photos for free which is nice but the girl that was there wasn't giving off a "please try this" vibe.
The Edo museum is a fifth of the cost and a gazillion times better.

This place was very interesting. They kindly offered English tours at certain time intervals and the information was great weather you were new to samurai or had a base knowledge. The tour guide was able to answers the groups questions and was very helpful. There was even certain parts of the tour where you were invited to try on replicas. There were also live 15 minute demonstrations later in the day that you could come back and attend if you kept your ticket from earlier.
They also sold interesting gifts in the gift shop. Including replica and real swords.
