Nice relaxed place. Wasn't super busy when I was there but I could see this place being a cluster if it was. This place is attached to a hostel as far as I know but it certainly doesn't come off as a hostel bar. It's a little high end to be a hostel bar and not quite as friendly. Could have just been the slow season for hostel goers when I was there however.

Slipped in here for drinks in the evening. Had a spot on the bar but the service was terrible. After finally flagging someone down to get the check, he informed us he was off the clock and then simply ignored us instead of finding someone who could help. All this while standing behind the bar.
They have the same beer as every other bar on the street, you're better off going somewhere with better service.

Cool bar in Reykjavik with unique wooden interior furnishing. Very comfortable sitting, lots of space and lots on the drink menu. We went in for a meal and even though the meal options are limited, there was something for my wife and I that we wanted.
The food is pretty decent and the servers spoke good English so we had no issues ordering our meals. We had trouble finding a place for a late lunch and this bar was the only place open (we tried a sushi place up the road and it was closed) and we were glad we found it.

I visited Bunk Bar solely because of the sugar skull hanging over the front entrance and was pleased by the wooden decor inside, that was campy in nature, without being too kitschy. Great selection of vodka and I dare say the drinks are a bit strong, even after a few cocktails. Worth a visit as it has assorted types of seating (couches, bar stools, armchairs) and with free WiFi, it attracts folks staying in the hostel next door.

Small core menu with daily dishes, all of it is delicious. Fantastic bar, and I love that you order food and pay at the bar without needing to wait on a server to bring you a check. Delicious food, very friendly staff, will definitely go again on my next visit.
