This hostel was an amazing experience all around! The facility was spotless, the owners were so friendly, and the location was beautiful.

Cute little place to stay at in Placencia. I wish they had some food at the bar tho, like nachos and salsa at least. And not a fan if the smoking but it is a bar so i guess i can't complain. But i would defo come and stay here again if I come to Placencia again. And i would recommend it to my friends and family. Owners are super nice and friendly, they can call for u to book tours and also they call for taxi to the airport.

Sailfish is a great pool/bar/hotel. If you walk down the road to get there, you'll notice that you will either have to wait for the ferry to shuttle you across the canal, or you can actually swim there if you want. It's only about 10 yards across. David is a great friendly bartender at the bar which is also a swim up bar. There is a little island in the middle with a tree growing out of it, which is a nice touch.
There are some floats in the pool that you can lounge on, or play fetch with the dog "Einstein". He will not let you stop playing fetch, so be warned. He'll even ride on the pool mats whether you are on it or not.
The drinks are strong, and there are some cabanas and hammocks for when you need to rest or get out of the pool. The hotel offers suites, bunks, and studios. The owners are usually there and are very friendly as well.

I sincerely advise against staying in this hotel Location dialog is accessible only by boat The owners very not nice , no culture , no salutations how good day etc ... Rooms 2 pers sized beds , no closet for clothes, polkas , HOOKS or anything at things , no curtains, bathrooms, toilets far Enters or escapes from the hotel to the land is dependent on the mood of the owner, you can call , you scream you need to wait patiently on the swim by boat , just szok.A not the worst of the owner is a helpful, friendly , lie. The most cheerful of humor are at the bar with visitors from outside at drinkach.Moze there to use every $ 5 and their guests treat the hotel as air, traveling a lot , but this space is not met , even there are no words positive . If you want to be satisfied with staying in Placencia avoid SailFisch , because owners of spoil Your pobyt.Jest is the honest truth I would add with the pictures looks all around , the reality szkująca , people with a grimace , without the basic culture, only a grimace . And our stay was New Year's Eve , New Year spent on land at another restaurant surrounded by people with joy , a smile on his face . Of course, there were also a hotel of our guests . The swimming pool was very clean. I spent all afternoon lounging in and around it. The bar kept cold drinks nearby, and Einstein, the owner's dog was always ready to play fetch. The private room was very small. It had a queen bed in it with about 1.5 feet of space on one side. But really, what more do you need?
